Use the tracers below to make decorations or to create Christmas drawings and cards.
The free tracers below can be used for a variety of activities, besides Christmas crafts for kids. I have used them for math activities, where children print numbers and then make the same number of stars or candy canes on their papers.
Some children trace three or four images on their page to illustrate a Christmas story, which they later print, sounding out the letters they know.
Although your students may turn out unrecognizable looking Christmas crafts, avoid the tendency to help the students too much in an effort to produce perfect crafts.
Most kids are pleased with their finished blobs of paper, glue, sequins and glitter, so celebrate their efforts!
Using tracers and fine motor skills
The more children trace, cut, glue, and practice with craft materials, the more their fine motor skills, their coordination and their eye hand coordination improves. Read the tips on crafting with kids here.
I often show the students a few samples, then tell them they are free to copy the samples or make the item another way. To have some control over the students’ results, limit the materials you put out for each tracer and rotate the tracers every few days.
Make the Christmas crafts below using the free tracers.
